Yes! Simply add the link to the live Space in Rexpaces, and the tool will record it in real-time. Once the Space ends, Rexpaces provides a full transcription and automatically generates clips of the most interesting moments. You can also edit these clips, create new ones, or download the unedited recordings for further customization.
Rexpaces needs to "record" the Space in real time to process the audio for transcription and summarization. This means the recording duration matches the length of the Space. For example, if the Space is 2 hours long, it will take Rexpaces 2 hours to record it.
No, once you confirm the Space you want to record and press the "Submit" button, you can close the page and return later.
No, Rexpaces transcribes the Space in real-time as it happens, but the final transcription, summary, and clips are only available after the Space concludes.
If your space was longer than 5 hours, this is normal behavior. Our server takes a long time to process the video and audio files of really long spaces. If that's not the case or if you have any other questions, feel free to DM us at @rexpaces.
Not at the moment. While it might work for languages other than English in some cases, the results are inconsistent. A fully multilingual feature is in development and will be available soon.
Currently, we can't record Subscriber-only Spaces because we use our own X account to record spaces. In the future, we will work on a solution to make this possible.
While not common, errors can happen during the recording process due to reliance on the X platform and server connections. A recording might stop suddenly, or an error may occur at the start if the Space ends just as Rexpaces begins recording. This is also handled as an error if the Space wasn’t set to be recorded by the host.
When we update Rexpaces with new features or bug fixes, we temporarily take the server offline to avoid problems. However, it's not common for it to stay offline for hours—we usually bring the server back online within a few minutes. If the problem persists, it’s likely a cache issue. You can try clearing your browser cache or opening Rexpaces in an incognito tab. If it's still not working, send us a DM at @rexpaces.
If the Space is recorded by the host on X, then yes—it can be re-recorded even in the event of an error. However, you’ll need to wait until the Space finishes so Rexpaces can process it from the beginning. For private Spaces, recording is not 100% guaranteed to always work. If you need to retry, send me a DM on X, and I’ll ensure it gets recorded as soon as possible.
Currently, full videos are not uploaded automatically to save storage. However, if you need the complete recording, you can reach out to us on X, and we’ll upload it for you.
No, signing in is not required to record Spaces, generate transcriptions, create summaries, or make clips. However, if you want to bookmark Spaces or save clips for later, you will need to sign in.
Rexpaces only uses your account ID, display name, and profile picture, even though broader read permissions are requested. Unfortunately, the X API doesn't offer a way to request fewer permissions than this. Rest assured, no additional account data is accessed.
Currently, Rexpaces removes recordings that are older than 7 days to manage storage capacity. However, we are actively working on storage solutions to ensure users won’t have to worry about this limitation in the future.
Space titles can change during live events. The final recording will display the Space title as it was when the session ended, but interim clips reflect the titles at the time they were created. This distinction might be useful to include for context.
This happens because Rexpaces uses a bot linked to a real account. If the account follows certain speakers, they may appear marked. To address this, we plan to create a new, dedicated account for the bot to avoid these markers.
